To be honest, you know, if you are nt making any money from video blogging, ie you aren’t selling it, don’t worry about putting copyrighted music on you soundtrack. Let the lawyers sort this out on Blip.tv or where ever you post your videos to. Besides if yu use copyrighted music, because video blogging is not an issue with governments or for that matter record companies, it goes unnoticed. If you do however use copyrighted music just credit the artist and song in the credits, that’s what I do. I use copyrighted music all the time and I think life is too short to worry about things like this. My video “copyright issues” has 29 peices of copyrighted music squeezed into 5mins, it has been on the free upload sites like blip and dailymotion and even veoh for the past 2 months and nothing has been said or anything. Others may disagree with me, but, No vlogger has been sued for using copyrighted music in their videos. There is a very very small risk that the artist or copyright owners may stumble onto it and then ask for a cease and decist order, but that is the maximum you will recieve.
