I dragged some of my American friends to a local sports bar here in Colorado. Interesting experience. The bar put the game on one of the larger screens in a corner so we had front row seat to it. All the other tables were there for dinner or the baseball game. The waitress was confused about what we wanted to watch...she assumed we wanted the US college hockey playoffs...weird.
So we got into it because it was a pretty exciting game. In the 3rd period the bar got really busy, we assumed because of the dinner crowd coming in. It turns out there was an Ultimate Fighting Championship game coming on at 8 MST, so the waitress warned us that she would need to change channels then (fine cause the game would be over anyways).
The feed was via the NHL center ice package, so we had the usual CBC newfoundland feed, complete with public service announcements about how snowmobilers should always carry ice picks so they can pull themselves out of icy waters after falling in.

So a great game, Leafs victory, but unfortunately they're still eliminated by stats.

One other observation, I keep seeing TV commercials now for a new Ford truck that they call the 2007 'Super doodie' - worst way to market a truck....I laugh every time I see that ad now.

Super doodie! Super doodie! Super doodie!
