So the male cardinal is even more colourful! I thought the female looked stunning. 'Fraid I also loved the blue jays. Gorgeous colour. 

The &lt;a href="http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/j/jay/index.asp" rel="nofollow"&gt;jays in the UK&lt;/a&gt; (Garrulus glandarius) are just as raucous, and with a dash of blue.</description>

		<description>Blue Jays look great, but they have some features that make them not so appealing...IMHO.
That damn squawking... just like an ole crow. Aggressive birds... they chase all the other birds away.
Cardinals on the other hand are quiet and friendly to the other birds.
In the winter, in the back yard, those are about the only birds we see. Well, except we see/hear the geese and see the odd dove. 
The Cardinal is our favourite.</description>
