I’m Mike Moon and this is my video diary; aka my VLOG.
Jibber-jabber for 08/08/08.
I'm a good ole Canadian Boy that vlogs (video blogs) moments in my life. The premise is that when I'm really old and forget how to feed myself, I can still look back and remember.
Variety! Perhaps I'll just gab about my day, or perhaps we'll talk about family, sports or whatever. I also have an artistic side, I like to experiment with different methods or points of view.
You'll find a little of everything here.

I watch all your videos Mike, and I often makes comments. (so get off my back man!) hahaha
Dylan going off to college is pretty amazing to me too. But in the past 18-20 years I hear that Q107 is still playing the exact same songs!
You guys should seriously check out Skype for your long distance family chats. Great quality, does video too, and great file transfer speeds as well.
Cheers!
+1 on the watched the vlog. I check them all out, and actually, your the only vlog I follow so it makes it all the more unique and interesting for me.
As for editing, I know how that can be. When we got back from vacation we ended up with over 5 hours of DV and since it would be painful for our family and friends to be subjected to watching it all I wanted to trim it down to about 1 hour, encompassing all the best and leaving out all the cruft that’s really only interesting to the 4 of us that were there. It ended up taking me about 2.5 weeks, working on it an hour here and three hours there. I did it all professional-like and the end result came out awesome - iMovie’s capabilities never fail to surprise me.
All that said, I don’t think I want to edit any video for another year or two. I was all hyped about it in the beginning, and as I was finishing off the last few bits of soundtracks and still image includes, as well as adjusting volume levels, fixing broken transitions, etc etc (ahhhh!) I was glad to finally hit the render button and be done with it.
Oh, and I’ll also recommend Skype - we chat with friends in South Korea all the time using it and it too never fails to amaze me - with a good net connection on both ends even the video is excellent.
Hey….I watched this video and I left a comment.
Your vlogging style is great. don’t change a thing…it is all about you.
Do check out Skype.
I watched this video, too! And as usual when I watch anything of yours, I’m glad I did.
