Donna and I enjoy a warm evening with some wine, a hockey game on the tv and chatting about Video Blogging Week in the Cabana. I really should have released this as the first vlog for Video Blogging Week. :)

I recall a few months back, I lobbied to move NaVloPoMo to the summer. I’ve changed my stance. Although having nice weather outside encourages me to film more, it also means I have to do more editing. November is a great month for editing. :)

Well, the NHL (Nation Hockey League) Stanley Cup Playoffs start today.
The Toronto Maple Leafs didn’t make it, but there’s still cheering to be done.
Montreal Canadiens
Pittsburgh Penguins
Washington Capitals
Calgary Flames
San Jose Sharks

The Leafs have 6 games left. If they win them all, they should be in the playoffs.

Saturday night and we prepare to watch the Leaf hockey game. Crack open a different bottle of wine, Monarch Vidal wine.

We discuss the recent situation with regards to Mats Sundin waiving his “No-Trade” clause with the Toronto maple Leafs.

Not a whole lot going on, but I found some moments to share.

I’m re-releasing my first video, ‘The Goal’.
The video was shot from my Canon sd100 digital camera back in the spring of 2003.

The camera was put in ziplock bag with a hole for the lens to poke through.
Then the ziplocked camera was securely hockey-taped to my stick.
The StickCam was born.

Unable to promise any quick fixes and anticipating a “few tough months ahead,” Cliff Fletcher was introduced as the interim general manager of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment’s troubled hockey franchise, some 2 1/2 hours after John Ferguson was mercifully told his services were no longer required.

“The custodian of the keys for a period of time,” was how the 72-year-old described himself.
