Moon Moments 1957-1977

I came across an old Slide Copier and Mike-gyvered it to my Xacti. Now I can digitally convert these old memories.
It’s wonderful being reminded of people and times long gone.

Fish Eye

So for a few days, we had no internet access – see previous post. I finished a couple projects I was interested in. I dismantled a wide angle attachment lens for my very old Xacti C40 camcorder, and converted it into a fish eye lens.
Fun times…

Playing In The Surf

The homemade underwater housing also comes on vacation. Here we enjoy some of the surf coming off Lake Ontario at the Sandbanks.
I had such a blast.
The water was only about 3 feet deep where I was, with 3 foot waves.

Xacti Underwater Housing DIY

I have built Underwater Housing for my Xacti HD2 camcorder. This will allow me to go in the rain, pool or other water sources. This isn’t a scuba depth project, but does let me go underwater say 8 or 9 feet down.
This is my second underwater case. I built one for my Canon HV20, but it’s since been sold.

Parts include:
4″ 45¬? ABS pipe with male/female ends
4″ ABS End Trap (Threaded)
4×6″ piece of glass
ABS glue
Glass Sealant

Cow Cam

Mr. Cow has an adventure.

Mike-Gyver Wide Angle Lens on Xacti HD2

I have on order the proper wide angle lens for the thread less Xacti HD2.
Until it comes it, or for special projects, I attached my Raynox .3x semi fisheye lens.

Xacti HD2

Well, I sold the Canon HV20 and somewhat downgraded to a Sanyo Xacti HD2.
I found I was shooting video less on the Canon due to it's size and miniDV format. With the HD2, I shove it in my pocket and take it everywhere.

I love the Xacti, but I need some parts and accessories:
USB Cable: Connect dock to PC
Wide Angle Lens: VCP-L06W
Lens Adapter: VCP-AL49
Underwater Housing: EHS-510H

Fun Friday

Enjoying the job, life and Fridays.

Bye Bye DV951

I sold the panasonic DV951 camcorder. It’s just too big and heavy for a vlogger.

CAMundrum

I’d like to get a new camcorder.
Good low light video, nice looking picture, 16:9, lots of manual options and … ummm… I have about $400 to work with. :)
Should I get an Xacti E1, Panasonic GS320 ???
